High school student Fumi Oono suddenly finds herself in financial trouble after her father leaves her with a mountain of debt. To repay it, she begins working as a live-in housekeeper for Akatsuki Kibikino, a young and reclusive novelist. As Fumi adjusts to her new life in Tsubaki-chou, she slowly learns more about her quiet employer while trying to balance school, work, and her growing feelings.
